| Q. |
How is the material compiled? |
| A. |
A central theme is selected for each school term (quarter) across all age groups. Each quarter consists of 10 weeks' material. This central theme is developed through a spiral curriculum where the music concepts and skills are acquired through practical participation in singing, moving, playing, creating as well as preparatory reading & writing activities.
|
| Q. | Is the child's developmental stages taken into account?
| | A. |
Each programme is written with the specific skills of that particular age group in mind. To further enhance the child's learning experience, creative activities such as counting games, building puzzles, rhymes and motor development activities are included. The focus is therefore on the holistic development of the child. Most importantly, however, is nurturing a love for music.
|
| Q. | Is the material tested? | | A. | All Kiddi Beat Sp material is tested and adapted for both the studio and school environments before the final packages are compiled.
|
| Q. | What does a package entail?
| | A. | A package consists of one school term's (quarter) teaching material for one age group.
This include: sound material, homework activities, preparation sheets, graphically designed teaching media including for e.g. storyboards, flash cards, puzzles and work sheets.
|
| Q. | Is sound material included? | | A. | All sound material is included in the programme.
Sound excerpts used include: classical music, light classical music, African instrumental music, children's songs, newly composed music with backtracks.
|
| Q. | Will I need to buy a lot of instruments? | | A. | A basic instrument package is needed to present the material. You can buy these yourself or we can make it available to you for a very reasonable price.
|
| Q. | How are fees determined? | | A. | Kiddi Beat Sp determines the fees payable. Separate tariffs for studio and nursery schools are determined. At the beginning of each year the fees will be adapted according to inflation.
|
| Q. | Are there any other additional costs to parents? | | A. | NO! There are no extra material and hidden costs involved. Homework material is included in your fee. Should parents wish to purchase extra material, they can obtain material commercially themselves.

The strength of the Kiddi Beat SP programme lies in the fact that:
- It is only available to highly trained music and educational specialists who have the knowledge and skills required to introduce the young child to music activities.
- The programme is written in both Afrikaans and English giving the facilitator
the option and flexibility to introduce the rhymes, songs and stories in the language the child and his/her parents prefer.
- A business support package to help you set up and manage your business
is included.
- It has the dual presentation option in studios and/or schools.
In order to become a Kiddi Beat Sp facilitator you need to be a music specialist with sufficient knowledge, skills and experience in the field of music education.

I told her (prominent music business women in Johannesburg) that I am a Kiddi Beat facilitator. I could not emphasise enough the creativity and success of the programmes. I love programme 2 because of the development of themes and activities. I am sure I am more dumbstruck than the kids as we are having fun and exploring the music ideas.
I had lots of fun presenting the programme. I could see that the children and parents enjoyed the material especially the teaching aids and stimulating illustrations. The themes are creatively developed and the music is both interesting and beautiful. Hats off to Kiddi Beat!
I was preparing dinner and my little boy, almost 3, was taking a bath. I heard him and daddy laughing and chatting away. I peeked around the corner and saw him showing the sign for elephant as they sang the song we did in Kiddi Beat class today. It felt good to know that I am giving Chris the opportunity and benefit of holistic development and a love and understanding of music.
